The Bemi Cognita Tab 8 is a great solution for those looking for a large format for reading books, magazines or diagrams and listening to audiobooks.

At 9.5 mm thick and weighing 305 g, the reader fits comfortably in your hand. You can always have it with you. Whether you're travelling far or near, on your way from school or work, during a business meeting or on your comfortable sofa at home, it will work in all circumstances.

At the heart of the Cognita Tab 8 is a Cortex-A35 quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM.

The 16GB internal memory can hold a whole lot of books – forget about heavy suitcases.

The reader supports the OTG function, allowing you to connect external memory or headphones.

The reader has a large 7.8" e-ink screen with Carta technology, a built-in touch panel and LED backlighting with adjustable brightness. It impresses with its convenience, practicality and ease of touch operation.

The built-in Wi-Fi module facilitates connection to the Internet and enables file transfer without the use of a cable.

Large format

The reader has a 7.8" e-ink screen with a 16-step grey scale, which imitates the effect of traditional paper printing. The resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels (300 ppi) ensures super comfortable reading in large format without eye strain. It is comfortable to read books, publications or diagrams with a lot of detail. The text is clear and easy to read.

Thanks to the latest E-Ink Carta technology, the screen has better contrast and a whiter background. Improved refresh rate allows you to read more pages without losing quality and without the "screen flicker" effect.

Touch panel with anti-reflective coating

The Cognity Tab 8 touch panel is covered with a special anti-reflective coating, allowing you to read books even in bright sunlight. The touch screen ensures intuitive, easy operation of the device.

Page turn buttons / built-in speaker

For ease of use, the Cognita Tab 8 has page turning keys built into the front cover .

The reader also has built-in volume control keys and a speaker to make listening to music or audiobooks even easier.

Book formats

The Cognita Tab 8 supports most available e-book formats, such as PDF (Reflow), epub, MOBI (mobipocket), FB2, FB2.ZIP, AZW, AZW3, CHM, PRC, DOC, DOCX, TXT, HTM, HTML, and RTF.

Additionally, it displays image files in the following formats: JPG, BMP, PNG, and plays audio files: mp3, OGG, FLAC, WAV, AAC.

PDF Reflow

Cognita Tab 8 supports the very useful Reflow function for PDF files. Reflow breaks down the content of a PDF file so that it can be read as text, just like in an epub or fb2 file. The text automatically adjusts to the page size, making reading pleasant and comfortable. The text can also be enlarged, which is not possible when reading the original PDF file.

TTS – text to speech

TTS – text to speech – is a speech synthesiser or a function that converts written text into sound. Thanks to this function, Cognita Tab 8 allows you to turn a book you are reading into an audiobook.

This function is particularly useful for people who like to listen to audiobooks, want to deepen their knowledge and language skills, or want to multitask while enjoying their books.

You can listen through the built-in speaker as well as headphones or a speaker connected via Bluetooth.

Cognita Tab 8 supports speech synthesis in 10 languages: Polish, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Dictionary/Translator

Cognita Tab 8 has built-in dictionary functions (stardict format) and a translator with many languages to choose from. The translator supports the translation of single words as well as entire paragraphs or pages.

The device also allows you to look up words in Wikipedia.

Book Library

Cognita Tab 8 allows you to view your library as tiles with book covers or a list of files.

In addition to the name of the book/file, you can view the file format (list) and the percentage of the book read.

The library can be displayed by category: All books, Recently read, Recently added, Read and Unread.

Additionally, you can sort the library, perform batch operations, create a new folder, search for a book, or refresh the library directly from the home screen.

Reading functions

Cognita Tab 8 has an extensive list of features and settings available while reading books, similar to advanced e-readers on the market.

Cognita Tab 8 conveniently supports footnotes. If a book has footnotes, you can go to the footnote text with a single tap.
